This website is mainly dedicated to my academic work.

I was born in Odessa, Ukraine 🇺🇦 in 1989. My full name in Ukrainian (including the patronymic) is Костянтин Сергійович Кучер (Kostiantyn Sergiyovych Kucher); Kostiantyn is a unique Ukrainian form of the given name Constantine / Konstantin.

I received the Master's degree with honors in Computer Science (Information Control Systems and Technologies) from Odessa National Polytechnic University in 2012.

In 2013, I worked as an assistant lecturer (universitetsadjunkt) at the Department of Computer Science and Media Technology at Linnaeus University (Växjö, Sweden). During 2013–2018, I was a PhD student in Computer and Information Science with a specialization in Information Visualization and Visual Analytics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Kerren with the ISOVIS group at LNU. I defended my PhD dissertation titled Sentiment and Stance Visualization of Textual Data for Social Media in April 2019 and received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Science.

During December 2018–December 2019, I was a research assistant at LNU. During January 2020–August 2022, I was an associate senior lecturer (biträdande lektor) at Linnaeus University. During May 2021–August 2022, I was also a part-time visiting assistant lecturer (gästadjunkt) at Linköping University.

Starting with September 2022, I am a senior lecturer in information visualization with specialization in visual analytics of texts, networks, and machine learning models with the iVis group at the Media and Information Technology division at the Department of Science and Technology, Linköping University (Campus Norrköping).
